Behind Veralinnéa
Veralinnéa is created by me, Vera Paulsson, currently studying to become an architect. I have made jewellery as a hobby since 2023, and started Veralinnéa in 2025 with the ambition that the hobby will grow into a job. Sustainability is extremely important to me, I want to move away from fast fashion by creating pieces that last, both in style and in quality. I love experimenting with different materials and strive to use natural, locally sourced elements—like shells, stones, and mussels from nearby beaches—instead of freshwater pearls or semi-precious gemstones.
About Argentium silver
I make most of my jewellery in Argentium silver, an improved version of sterling silver that contains a higher proportion of silver and less copper, with added germanium to prevent oxidation. Argentium silver is very durable and resistant to tarnish, meaning your pieces are much more likely to stay nice and shiny even with daily wear compared to traditional 925 sterling silver. It’s also hypoallergenic for many people. Some prefabricated locks and chains might however be in 925 sterling silver, this is specified on the product page for each item.
Caring for your Argentium silver jewellery is easy - the best way to clean it is to wear it! When taken off for longer periods, oils, lotions, body fluids or perfumes that have come into contact with the metal can cause tarnishing. To avoid this you can make sure to clean and dry the jewellery, and once fully dried store in an airtight bag if you know it won't be worn for some time.
If some tarnishing does occur, clean the piece with soapy water and try to wear your jewellery as much as possible for a few days. If this does not naturally restore its shine, a gentle silver cleaning solution can help, please feel free to get in touch for advice on your specific piece.
